Like jerky, corndogs and the ability to speak to strangers without the influence of alcohol, Twinkies are something Brits are aware exists but for whatever reason never have an opportunity to encounter in our day-to-day lives.
So, not only have I discovered exactly what Twinkies are, I've also found out that their manufacturer - Hostess - is launching a new flavour: chocolate and peanut butter.
"With Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies, we have paired America's favourite flavor combination with America's most beloved snack cake," said Burke Raine, Hostess Brands Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
"This peanut butter-filled treat comes on the heels of our recent introduction of Hostess Chocolate Cake Twinkies and is another a prime example of our efforts to embrace consumer flavor trends."

For anyone who needs it explaining, the snack is filled with a peanut butter creme filling.
If you're a peanut butter fan then it's fair to say you're having quite the year. Back in April, the boys over at Oreo introduced a real game changer with the release of a new peanut butter-flavored ice cream sandwich.
The company began production of peanut butter flavoured biscuits back in 2015 and now it has expanded them into an ice-cream.
Each sandwich is made up of two massive Oreo cookies and a peanut butter ice cream filling. But the peanut butter ice cream is not just plain old peanut butter ice cream, there are also little pieces of Oreo cookie in the mix, to add a little extra crunch.

Oreo Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches can be purchased individually or in a box of six and like the Cadbury Peanut Butter Oreo bars, they are currently only available in the UK.
For anybody living outside the UK who wants to get their hands on Oreo's peanut butter ice cream sandwiches but can't, I guess the best thing for you to do would be to scoop some ice cream between two Oreo biscuits and then to smear some peanut butter on top.
