By posting a logo image to Twitter Rockstar Games has possibly begun teasing an announcement on a future instalment in their Red Dead franchise.
The tweet features the Rockstar logo on top of the mottled red texture used in art for Red Dead Redemption. Many people believe this means an announcement of a sequel will come very soon.
After posting the tweet, Rockstar posted a similar image as a news story on its website, and changed the avatars and banners on its Twitter and Facebook pages to match the series' black and red colour scheme.
The last time Rockstar announced a new game, which was Grand Theft Auto V in 2011, they did so in a similar way, before releasing a trailer a week afterwards.
Take-Two who distributed previous games in the series recently announced that Rockstar was "of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon."
A Red Dead Redemption sequel has been thought to be due for a while now, following the apparent leak of the game's map. That leak suggested the game would be a prequel, and be set to the east of the last game.
However, their is small chance that this could be a current-gen re-release of Red Dead Redemption, in the vein of Grand Theft Auto V, so don't get your hopes up just yet.
