May was officially Masturbation Month, did I do much for it? Nah, to be honest I jerked it off.
With May coming to a close PornHub have sent over some very interesting data about people's porn habits, which I can imagine will cause mass debate.
The site found that searches for 'masturbation' and related terms like 'jerking off' increased 3.5% over the month of May.
The average duration to Pornhub also increased 10 seconds compared to a typical month.
Here's a 'handy' infographic they produced about the masturbation related searches that increased the most in May...

Fair enough.
Topping the list is a 158% increase in 'squirting masturbation' and a 124% increase in 'masturbation nude beach'.
There were also a lot of searches containing 'JOI'. JOI is short for 'Jerk Off Instructions', which a reliable source tells me is a popular fetish involving verbal coaxing.
International Masturbation Month is an entire month devoted to celebrating self-love and its benefits.
For lads masturbation helps reduce risk of prostate cancer, probably by giving the prostate a chance to flush out potential cancer-causing agents, the Independent has previously reported.
For ladies it can help prevent cervical infections and urinary tract infections.
So cracking one out might be a better idea than you've previously been led to believe.

Like any of you needed an excuse anyway.
