Going on a beach holiday can be awesome, but if you're sharing the beach with a bunch of other annoying tourists, then it can get a bit hectic.

So why not rent your own island and enjoy the serenity?

This AirBnB listing shows what you could get for just £392 ($511) a night. While that does sound a bit expensive, it sleeps up to four people comfortably, so it's less than £100 ($130) per person each night. According to the site, you can partake in 'swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and exploring' while relaxing in 'total privacy'.

It's located off Placencia, which is about a three-hour drive south from Belize City. Transportation from Placencia to the island is included in the price.

You're probably wondering where the catch is, and it's mildly frustrating unless you're the type of person who loves to plan in advance. The next available booking isn't until June 2019, because everyone wants a piece of that pie.

The listing says: "Bird Island is booked well in advance and many assume at first glance the calendar must be in error, it isn't."

Take it from the people who have managed to stay there, Olivia says: "This place is as good as everyone says. It's special. There are secluded places, sure, but there is nothing that compares to being on your own in the middle of the ocean."

Matt says: "We had an amazing time. The snorkelling is fantastic. We spent the days snorkelling, fishing, and just lounging around on our own private island. What better way to spend a honeymoon."

While Eric adds: "If you're reading this, you need to stop contemplating and treat yourself to a true delight and book this place. Truly a special experience that I feel very fortunate to have experienced."

The listing has been viewed by more than 500 people in just the last week, so if you wanted to see what all the fuss is about, you better get in quick.
