Guy Literally Gets Paid Hundreds Of Dollars A Day For Standing In Line

This is bloody brilliant.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to 2017, the era where you can genuinely find work anywhere if you're willing to do stuff that other people don't want to.

To be fair, most of our parents taught us that we grew up that we could be anything we set our minds to.

Unum also pulled together some research on how you can get paid a decent sum of money for these weird jobs:

  • Bed warmer: £16,000 per year
  • Waterslide tester: £20, 000 per year
  • Golf ball diver: £25,000 per year
  • Tea taster: £25,000 per year

Also on their list is a job where you can get paid for standing in line for people - and you can make a killing from it.

Robert Samuel lives in New York City and is the founder of Same Ole Line Dudes. He created the business when the iPhone 5S came out.

He told Elite Daily that he knew people would be desperate to get their hands on the first batch of devices, so he posted an ad on Craigslist and its grown from there.

Since his first Craigslist ad he's recruited as many as 30 guys to help him line up for others.

He once made a whopping $14,000 in ONE FUCKING DAY from lining up for strangers who couldn't bare the thought of lining up for something they wanted.

According to Rob, the team averages about $2,000 per week. The first two hours will cost you $45 and then $10 for every additional half hour.

If you've ever been to New York City, you'll know there are shit loads of places which take an endless amount of time to get something. One of the main locations is Broadway.

Rob says one of the biggest requests he has from people is to get Hamilton tickets, the hit musical about the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton.

But the theatre quickly caught up with their scheme and made it mandatory for anyone buying a ticket to line up themselves. That didn't bother Rob or his team and he's personally seen the show seven and a half times.

He says he never really gets bored because he'll always have a book or his phone to play with to make those hours fly.

"There's a beauty in being your own boss. If I want to work, if I want to go out and do a line to make extra money, then I can go do that. If I don't, and I want to share the wealth with my team, then I can go do that," he said.

The key message to take from this is: there's a price for everything. But make sure you don't invest in a fad because let's be honest, they always have a shelf life.

Twenty-six-year-old Sophia Pedraza didn't really care about that when she quit her £2,000 a month job to become Britain's first full-time Pokémon Go player.

I know what you're thinking, though, 'how the fuck is she going to be able to make money from that?'.

Well, according to The Sun, you can buy Pokémon Go accounts on eBay. People go out and collect Pokémon for you, and you just reap the rewards. Accounts can cost anywhere from £50 to a few grand depending on the amount of Pokémon and rewards etc.

With some accounts selling on eBay for upwards of £7,000 you can't really blame her for trying to cash in.

She said that she plays the game for up to 18 hours a day and that she's 'going to do it as long as it makes money'.

Considering I haven't heard or seen anyone playing the game in a few months, I can only guess the money taps might have been turned off for poor Sophia. Hopefully she didn't burn any bridges when she quit her job.
