Masturbating In Public Is Not A Criminal Offence And Everyone Thinks It's Weird

Masturbating In Public Is Not A Criminal Offence And Everyone Thinks It's Weird

In the UK, the standard sentence for masturbation in public is around 14 days in prison - although it can vary based on conditional factors. In Indonesia, the maximum sentence is 32 months' imprisonment and in Saudi Arabia it's three years behind bars and 300 lashes. Don't ask me how I know this.

Meanwhile, over in Italy, masturbating in public is not a crime, according to the Italian supreme court. Even if the sicko decides to whip out his wiener in a deliberate act for it to be seen by other members of the public, it's totally not illegal.

A 69-year-old was caught doing just that in front of students at the University of Catania campus.

His original trial concluded in him receiving a three-month jail term for 'practising autoerotisism' in front of students. However, that has recently been overturned by a judge who has identified that the pervert wasn't breaking the law.

The supreme court has ruled that "the act is not included in the law as a crime."

Consequently, the court has eliminated the criminal aspect of sentencing for obscene acts in public, reports the Independent.

The offender, named as Pietro L, hasn't quite received a 'get out of jail card' just yet, though. His case will now go back to the Prefect of Carania and he will be resentenced accordingly.

La Corte di Cassazione has ruled that the man must be given a fine between 5,000 and 30,000 euros.

So, it may not land you in jail but it's still enough of a sting that would prevent me from waving my privates around in public, even in Italy.
