Good news for all you basement dwelling Pokémon hunters, a new app has been released that shows you exactly where you can find all the rarest and best Pokémon on Pokémon Go.

Poké Radar is a map app put together by developers Braydon Batungbacal and Nick DiVona. It lets you search for rare Pokémon anywhere in the world, and even set a filter so you only see where a certain type of Pokémon is found.

Speaking of rare Pokémon, my mate told me he caught a Mewtwo in Leeds yesterday. Don't ask me what that means though, because I have a social life, so I wouldn't know. (Cue haters commenting who can't take a joke).

Apparently there's one downside to the map, because being powered by the Pokémon Go community, it's possible for trolls to drop rare Pokémon all over the place - and trick people as to where they really are.

Essentially, Poké Radar is a Google Maps clone that helps people find Pokémon, powered in real-time by people playing Pokémon Go and letting players submit Pokémon locations.

Since the app's release, Nintendo's stock value is at the highest it has been in six years and is now worth more than $40 billion. This is compared to main rival Sony, which is worth (just) $38.6 billion.

Last Friday, Nintendo set a record for the most shares ever traded in a day in Japan. Since the launch of Pokémon Go, the price of shares has doubled, the Metro reports.

You can use the map in your browser or download the iPhone app in the iOS store. An Android version is currently in the works, according to its Facebook page.
