Because according to new data, Generation Tinder is going through the kind of dry spell that would make the Sahara Desert blush, with the number of sexually inactive young adults doubling over the last three decades, according to a new study.
All off this means that your parents are statistically more likely to have been getting lucky at your age then you are.
Research published in the Archives of Sexual Behaviour reveals that 15 percent of the participants, who were aged between 20 and 24, haven't had sex since they were 18.
Young womens' lack of sex life increased three-fold from 5 percent to 16 percent, while for young men it soared from 8 percent to 14 percent.
Jean Twenge, who authored the study, put it down to the slower pace of adult milestones, such as young people waiting longer to move out of their parents' place, and taking longer to get engaged and married.
Jean said: "For a long time we've known that young adults are taking longer to get married, have kids, buy houses, have a stable job - all those so-called adult milestones are happening later.
"Being 20 to 24 is not what it used to be - it used to be that a lot of them, especially women, were married at that time, or were living with someone and were living independently of their parents. 20-year-olds are like what 16-year-olds used to be."
Despite the decline in sexual activity, 85 percent of the young adults who participated in the study had experienced a sexual encounter at some point (so they say).
Which means 15 percent of young adults aged 20-24 haven't had sex since they were 18. To be fair though, anecdotal evidence says 100 percent of Pokémon Go users haven't had sex ever.
