Woman With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Gives Zero F**ks And Grows Out Her Beard

Fair does to her.

A woman whose illness means she has a full beard has told her dickhead critics to shut the fuck up by embracing her facial hair, which her boyfriend also says he loves.

Alma Torres, 24, was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) at the age of 16, which caused her to grow thick facial hair as well as over symptoms, which include weight gain and infertility.

But having spending years hiding her condition by shaving, she now says she is going to embrace having facial hair.

Alma, who works as a photographer, is supported by her boyfriend of five years and top LAD, Taylor, who say his girlfriend's "beautiful" beard is nothing to be ashamed of.

Alma, from the Bronx, in New York, said: "I have been called 'ugly', others have said 'I should kill myself'. People have told me 'go wax your ugly ass' and have called me cancer.

"People usually don't make comments in front of me. Most are over the internet but I will get stares."

But Alma puts these cruel comments down to the trolls being insecure themselves, and hopes that she can show other women with similar conditions that it's alright not to bother shaving.

She said: "Having the beard has made me such a better person. I feel more confident and I want to encourage other women with PCOS to feel the same.

"I know how other women feel and I just want them to know that I'm there for them and that you can be who you are and you can be beautiful."

She began to show shaving in August last year. When she asked Taylor if he would mind having a bearded girlfriend, he said: "It's just hair. That's normal."

Taylor said: "I wouldn't know what to say about PCOS but I know my girlfriend has it and it's a struggle everyday but she pushes through.

"She's still beautiful to me and her beard doesn't define her. It's just hair and it doesn't have anything to do with how a person feels and should never be able to change that.

"It's what is inside that matters. It's something that's natural and there's nothing wrong with that."

They sound like a happy couple.
