World of Warcraft is a household name to gamers. The MMO still takes up thousands of hours of people's lives as they abandon family and friends to loot and fight orcs. It's massively addictive and the perfect form of escapism from their otherwise dreary lives. On 26 August, Blizzard launched World of Warcraft Classic, which throws players back into the days of 1.12, released in the distant past of 2006.

Long-time fans immediately found themselves in long line-ups, waiting to connect to the game's massively multiplayer online servers. Unable to satisfy their desire to slay dragons, they apparently took to PornHub to slay themselves according to the Pornhub Insights team. In fact, their statisticians found that searches containing "Warcraft" increased by 210% above the daily average.

I'm not here to judge. I'm just here to give you the facts.

In other Warcraft Classic news, Blizzard have had to publish a 'not a bug' list to clarify what was a feature of World of Warcraft at the time, and therefore won't be removed from the Classic experience.

Community manager Randy Jordan wrote in a Blizzard forum post: "The nature of WoW Classic sometimes invokes different memories for different players, and this leads to certain misconceptions for some about what is or isn't working as intended."

Jordan went on to list features that are 'not actually [...] bug[s], and [are] working as we expect'.

These include things like 'Tauren's hitboxes and their melee reach is slightly larger than other races,' 'Quests objectives and points of interests are not tracked on the map or minimap,' and 'NPCs which offer multiple quests may inconsistently display them as a dot or a "!" on the available quests list. They were inconsistent in 1.12, and we've reproduced the exact inconsistency they had back then'.

There's also things like the creature respawn rates, that used to be much slower than what players encounter in modern World of Warcraft.
