Jared Fogle, Convicted Subway Paedophile, Beaten Up In Prison By Fellow Inmate
Jared Fogle, a former Subway spokesperson who is now a convicted paedophile, has reportedly been beaten up in prison.
Steven Nigg, a fellow inmate at Colorado's Englewood FCI, assaulted Fogle in the recreational yard.
Speaking to TMZ, a member of Nigg's family said the 60-year-old, who's incarcerated on a weapons charge, was not happy with the number of child predators housed in the facility.
Fogle was left with a bloody nose, a swollen face and a scratched neck after he was tackled to the ground and repeatedly punched. Nigg was later punished by having to spend time in solitary confinement.
Last year, Fogle, who served as Subway's spokesperson in adverts after losing 200lbs by eating the chain's sandwiches, pleaded guilty to travelling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and distributing and using child pornography.
He also admitted to having sex with two under 18-year-olds.
The former tubster has been sentenced to 15 years in jail with his release date being July 11 2029.
