Following a successful trial in the US and Australia, Facebook is rolling out a feature to help users who are feeling at their lowest.

The social media giant has acknowledged that a lot people post a status before taking their own life so they will be releasing a new tool in the UK that may save lives. The aim is to remind people that there is always another option to suicide.

The Suicide Prevention tool was made with the help of Samaritans. It'll make it a lot easier for friends to flag up posts of people who may need help.

There is already an option to report suicidal content, but most people are unaware of it and this new feature will make it a lot more accessible.

The whole process will remain completely anonymous and anyone who sees a direct threat of suicide will be encouraged to call emergency services.

The guys over at The CALMzone offer amazing support to anyone when things get tough.

The helpline and web chat service are open 5pm to midnight, every day of the year.
