A 23-year-old man has died after being boiled alive in highly acidic water while hoping to relax and bathe in a hot spring.

Colin Nathaniel Scott, from Portland, Oregon, was visiting Yellowstone National Park last June, when he decided to 'hot pot' in a thermal spring.

The geyser in question has warning signs nearby, instructing people not to enter the water, but he slipped and fell in. His devastated sister filmed the incident on her mobile. Park officials confirmed that the footage caught the dealthy incident but that they are not releasing it to the public or even a description.

The local deputy chief ranger, Loran Veress, told KULR-8 that it was a 'very unforgiving environment'.

The remains of Colin's body were found in the pool by rescue rangers, as well as his flip flops and wallet, but when they returned the next day to retrieve the body they found it had completely dissolved, Veress said that the water was churning and acidic.
