Former Tory Prime Minister Candidate Claims That Male Nannies Are Paedos

Well there's a good chance they are, anyway.

It has emerged that Andrea Leadsom - who recently lost out to Theresa May in the Conservative contest become our next prime minister (technically backed out, but she was going to lose anyway - BABYGATE) - has claimed it is 'cautious and very sensible' not to make men nannies because the 'odds' mean they could be paedophiles.

The Daily Mail has reported that Leadsom made the claim in same interview as she claimed being a mother made her a better choice for prime minister than Theresa May.

Mrs Leadsom was appointed as Environment Secretary on Thursday, but the revelation of her comments, in which she claimed the 'stats' and the 'facts' backed her up, are leading many to claim she's unfit to do the job.

Why do you hate men and childless women so much Andrea? That's my question!

In the new remarks published by The Times today, Mrs Leadsom said: "As an employer we're not, let's face it, most of us don't employ men as nannies, most of us don't.

"Now you can call that sexist; I call that cautious and very sensible when you look at the stats.

"Your odds are stacked against you if you employ a man.

"We know paedophiles are attracted to working with children.

"I'm sorry but they're the facts."

Stereotypes about kind-hearted lads who want to work with children being sickos often leads to men avoiding the roles, meaning there is a shortage of male role-models for young children, especially in nurseries and primary schools.

A spokesman for Mrs Leadsom said today: "Andrea Leadsom had a male nanny for five years, and was not saying that men are unsuitable as nannies."

However, Labour shadow minister Jon Ashworth said Mrs Leadsom must apologise for her remarks.

He said: "This is an extraordinarily offensive statement from the new Environment Secretary.

Andrea Leadsom, 53, bottled the Tory leadership contest on Monday, leading to Theresa May being appointed as our prime minister on Wednesday, and from the looks of this it looks like we dodged a bullet there lads.

Screw it, she's an idiot! Sack her Theresa May! Sack her now.
