Apple's Latest iPhone Update Will Help You Sleep Better At Night

A lot of us could probably do with this.

You know when you get into bed, turn the lights out and think: "ah, I'll just have a quick skim through Facebook then I'll go to sleep", but somehow you're still awake at 8am the next day arguing with strangers in a random comment section? Yeah? Well soon that problem will be over. Apple has announced a new feature on the IOS 9.3 update that will help you get a better night's sleep.

Apparently, the brightness of the screen puts a strain on your eyes and brain, making it harder to doze off once you've put down your phone. Apple are subsequently introducing 'Blue Light Reduction', which allows you to alter the temperature of the screen. It'll work on a typical iPhone 'slider' where you can manually adjust the back light to 'warmer' or 'cooler'.

You can also schedule it so that it'll change at a specific time. Ideally this is for when the sun sets or rises so that the screen changes with the light of day.

The update is not yet available to the public and this new feature is still in its beta stages. IOS 9.3 will most likely be available in the next few weeks.

Is this a satisfying update?

There's still no feature for if you pour bromine on your iPhone, mind. Not that you would, unless you're a lunatic like this lad.
