Swedish Brewery Makes Beer Named ‘F**k You I’m Millwall’ To Honour Lion Of London

Epic.

One of the true heroes who emerged from the London Bridge terror attack was a man named Roy Larner. In the face of danger, he decided to try to tackle the three terrorists and yelled at them: "Fuck you, I'm Millwall."

He told the Sun that, upon seeing the trio, he thought: "I need to take the piss out of these bastards."

His actions saw the football fan stabbed eight times and he wound up in intensive care in hospital. But his heroic act probably saved lives.

In honour of the feat, a Swedish company has decided to name a new beer after Larner's now famous phrase. The 5 percent English bitter has already been rated by one customer, who described it as: "Pretty classic bitter on cask. Perhaps well-groomed and maybe a little stressed. Taste yeast freshly baked bread and in the background some summer flowers."

Sounds pretty delicious.

David Mortimer, co-owner of Frequency Beer Works told Southwark News: "A friend of mine who is a Millwall fan in London sent me a link to an article about Roy and I thought it was an amazing story of his bravery."

"So, I spoke to the other guys at the brewery and we thought we could stick some money into the Just Giving campaign but that it would be more fun to tell the world about it. It just feels like it's one of those stories you want to tell people about because it's amazing - and it's also a great name for a beer."

All the profits from the beer will go to the JustGiving page that was set up to reward his bravery. The initial target was £500, but donations have been pouring in since the terror attack and more than £50,000 has been raised.

Roy's mate, Archie Webber-Brown, also started a petition to have him receive the George Cross medal, the highest civilian award in the UK.

The page has notched up more than 16,500 signatures and needs a little more than eight-and-a-half thousand to reach its goal.

Roy has been praised by many for his actions, including Milwall Football Club, which put out a statement saying: "Millwall Football Club wishes to commend Roy Larner for his immense bravery in incredibly terrifying circumstances, and indeed all other members of the public whose actions helped to save others.

"That praise is extended to our remarkable emergency services, who proved yet again what an asset they are in protecting the public against these heinous acts."

Hopefully once Roy is out of hospital he can crack open a cold one named after his heroic act.
