There are few bonds as strong as those between brothers, so when Mark Osu's sibling was shot and killed outside his home in Liverpool he vowed to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding his death.

It's been four years since pilot Jason Osu was gunned down. Following an investigation, a local man, Paul Croxton, was jailed for life for his part in the killing. Two other men were also given prison sentences.

In an incredible twist, Jason's brother, Mark Osu, is now backing a challenge to the killer's sentence. Mark believes that someone else was behind the attack and that Croxton is one of the few people who will be able to put a name to the mystery man.

In sentencing the judge said there was a chance that the men were acting on orders from someone else, a 'shadowy, sinister, malign and powerful gangland figure', but this mystery man has never been named.

Mark believes that the gunmen also wanted to target him and, understandably, wants answers.

Mark told the Liverpool Echo: "I think it's important for me to call Paul Croxton through criminal proceedings to ask him before a judge: 'Who was it who ordered you to kill me, my brother and other intended murder victims?'"

Mark said he's haunted by the words of the judge at the trial and is determined to find out who ordered Jason's killing and why.
