I think we know what Michelle Obama looks like at this point - not only was she First Lady for eight years, but she has pretty fierce guns.
But Katty Kay, who is fronting the BBC's coverage of Donald Trump's inauguration, decided to let us know a random woman exiting the White House was not Michelle Obama. This is what she said:

Narrating live coverage can obviously be a bit repetitive and boring but really - do we need to be told who people aren't, especially when it's one of the most famous people on the planet?
It was a cringeworthy moment for the BBC and on a day where everyone is watching the 45th president of The United States of America, no one wants to mess up.
Sadly for Katty, the catty comments on Twitter soon poured in.

Today is a big day for America - Barack Obama left the Oval Office and a new president has just been sworn in. A lot of things are going to change - we're entering a new era where there's a lot of uncertainty. But, at least we know for sure, that woman in the pink and purple dress and tan coat isn't Michelle Obama.
