Say what you like about Justin Bieber, he sure knows how to get a rise out of the public.

Take Thursday for example when he went for dinner at a pub in Essex. What did he opt to sup do you think? A good old pint of Fosters? Something sophisticated maybe - a glass of red? Maybe he went wild and had a few Jägerbombs?

No, when Bieber walked into Kings Oak Hotel in High Beech in Essex, he decided that he would ask the bar tender for half a pint of milk. I'm going to let that sink in without further comment.

Apparently staff refused to wash up the glass, which had contained semi-skimmed milk, and instead decided to flog it on eBay. Bidding yesterday morning had reached £43.00 after 19 people laid their claim, but keen buyers are able to snap it up straight away if they choose to 'buy it now' for £500.

Amy Potter, assistant manager at Kings Oak, said she and the other staff were shocked when Bieber arrived at their pub.

Amy, 24, said: "We saw these body guards outside and joked 'imagine if that was Justin Bieber' and then it was him.

"I was thinking 'oh my God, what is he doing in this quiet pub in the middle of nowhere?

"Luckily I had stayed on a bit longer because he walked in when I was about to go at the end of my shift. He was really nice and chilled and was asking about us.

"We had a general chat about ice hockey and we told him some ghost stories because the pub is haunted - he stayed for about an hour. We get a lot of Towie and local celebs like Danny Dyer but no-one anywhere near as big as Justin Bieber."

Amy said Bieber, who is performing at the O2 on his Purpose tour until Saturday before he heads to Birmingham, decided to leave after spotting someone trying to take his picture.

"It was nice and quiet for him, he was chilled out and having his meal but then he had to move on because if a picture gets on social media you'll have hundreds of kids there and he gave us all a hug," she added.

"All these school kids turned up afterwards and we gave his water bottle to them but we had put his stuff to the side and then said 'let's put it on Ebay for a laugh and see what we can get for it'.

"I could get a nutter who's obsessed with him and buys it but I'm not really bothered, I just did it for a laugh."
