Scary stuff.

Terror inducing footage has reemerged showing two mein sitting in their third-floor room on the Anthem Of The Seas cruise ship, looking out on a terrifying 120mph storm.

Huge waves start battering into their window - and soon it is completely submerged under water.

"That is terrifying," the cameraman shrieks - as a humungous mountain of water turns their room black.

His pal nervously laughs: "Thank god for this glass."

The waves continue to slam into the cruise liner, with one so big it takes several seconds for the ship to resurface out of the water.

The Royal Caribbean cruise - carrying around 4,500 guests and 1,600 crew - had left New Jersey, in the US and was heading to Port Canaveral in Florida.

Prior to the footage being captured, the captain has informed passengers that the ship had halted its course in the hope of riding out the storm.

During the storm passengers were advised to stay in their cabins, as the rocking of the ship overturned furniture and caused damage in public areas and cabins, including collapsing part of a suspended ceiling and rendering one of the ship's two azipod propulsion units inoperable.

One man described the storm as: "The scariest, most horrible experience of my life."

The ship resumed sailing on the 8 February, returning to port in the New York area to avoid further bad weather that had been forecast.

The dramatic incident occurred in February 2016, but footage has recently been rediscovered on Reddit.

The ship is a fairly recent addition to Royal Caribbean's fleet, it was christened on April 20, 2015.
