X Factor contestant Honey G has caused controversy by tweeting fans for votes during the two-minute silence for Remembrance Day.
The 35-year-old rapper pleaded for votes one minute into the national moment of reflection. She tweeted: "Get Voting For Honey G to go all the way through to The X Factor final."
However, Honey, real name Anna Georgette Gilford, quickly realised her mistake and deleted her tweet. But she then re-posted it an hour later and continued to encourage her fans for votes throughout the day.

Responding to the show of disrespect, one viewer posted to social media, saying: "Tweeting during the two-minutes' silence, how sick can you be? These men and women fought for the country and all you want is for people to vote for you when you don't even deserve it."

Tonight, in honour of Remembrance Sunday, the contestants took to the stage to sing Andra Day's 'Rise Up'. But while all the others got their chance to take part in the song, Honey G's mic appeared to be off, or she was miming.

During yesterday's show, Honey pissed off viewers after she got another standing ovation from The X Factor audience.
Earlier this week she was also attacked by critics after admitting to having previously taken class-A drugs. Photos also emerged of her as a child, with her middle-class grammar school upbringing contrasting with the 'hip-hop' persona she plays up to on stage.
Here's what people on Twitter had to say about her breaking the two-minutes' silence...
