Little Boy Had The Foetus Of His Dead Twin Inside Him

A little lad who was complaining of stomach pains was found to have the foetus of his dead twin inside his stomach.

Little warning here, lads, if you're hungover or just about to sit down for something to eat, the pictures could turn your stomach.

Six-year-old Ritesh, from India, had been in pain and was losing weight for a few months but doctors struggled to find the cause; he was eventually given an ultrasound scan where a 'tumour' was found inside his stomach.

However, when surgeons operated on the mass they discovered, it was actually the underdeveloped foetus of what would have been his twin.

Dr Alok Bhardwaj told Pradesh18: "This is the rarest of rare cases. But the boy's problem was successfully treated. He is completely stable and is recovering fast."

The foetus was reported to have had hands, feet and even hair.

One of the doctors who operated on Ritesh said: "It is a developmental abnormality in which a mass of tissue resembling a foetus forms inside the body. One theory says that the mass begins as a normal foetus but becomes enveloped inside its twin."

This is too much for me. I'm off to go and look at videos of puppies.
