Stag-Do Causes Outrage By Taking Selfies With Blow-Up Doll At Ground Zero

Seriously lacking in tact.

A British stag-do caused outrage yesterday, just two days before the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, by taking selfies with a blow-up sex doll at Ground Zero.

The group of men were pictured laughing and smiling with the blow-up sex doll at the site which serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the attack, the Daily Mail reported.

The group of men - who said they were from London - were asked to leave the area by a police officer. When confronted, one of the group, believed to be the groom, said 'it's just a bachelor party', before answering other questions with 'no comment'.

According to a person claiming to know the group, three of the men work together at a bank in New York.

Those affected by the atrocity have expressed disgust at the group.

Rosanne Hughes, 61, from the New Jersey 9/11 Memorial Foundation lost her husband Thomas F. Hughes Jnr. in the attacks. She told the Daily Mail: "I'm speechless. I don't even have any words for that - that's a disgrace.

"That is sacred ground. I lost my husband and I don't even know what to say - it's disgusting.

"We hear things like this and I honestly think it's disgraceful to take selfies of anybody there laughing and smiling when they haven't lived the life we've lived for 15 years and the people we've lost.

"If I came face to face with these people I would say 'shame on you'."

Yesterday the New York Police Department marked the anniversary with a parade in honour of the 23 officers who died at the World Trade Center, as well as the 99 officers who died of illnesses after participating in the rescue and recovery operation.

Michael Frazier, executive vice president of communications and marketing at 9/11 Memorial and Museum, said: "This image is exceptionally disturbing and what is just as disturbing - if not more - is that these people find it appropriate to blatantly disrespect this place made sacred by the murder of 3000 innocent people."
