It could be heard around the world.

'It was a sound so heinous that it could be heard around the world. It was a sound that people chose to ignore because they preferred the comfort of believing they were safe from the rapture. It was a sound that if we had chosen to listen to, then maybe millions of lives could have been saved'.

These could well be the words that are written if humanity continues on the path it is on, if you believe conspiracists.

An apocalyptic trumpet sound has reportedly been heard across the globe, with many believing the noise has sounded as a result of Donald Trump's election as US president, The Sun has reported.

Conspiracy 'experts' have claimed that the 'Trump Trumpet' may be heralding the end of the world. The noise has been linked to a Biblical claim about the 'First Four Trumpets of Revelation', signifying the apocalypse. Sounds serious.

The spine-chilling footage was recorded in Serbia at sunrise. Some have suggested it is the awakening of 'the beast', while others have said it may be rockets fired during a military drill.

One YouTube commenter said: "Could this be 'the call'?"

Another wrote: "Sounds like Satan as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour!"

A third added: "I've heard them also. It sounds like a dinosaur breathing down your neck. Folks, that's not fake, it's real."

I added: "We're all doomed."

According to the Daily Star, last year there were hundreds of reports of an unknown sound in cities around the world - from the Netherlands, Morocco and even the UK.

Recently there have also been odd noises coming from Canada, too.

Following Trump's victory, a number of online sources have claimed he is the Antichrist and his victory could bring the end of the world. Information provided by website 'The Hyper Texts' said that: "According to the Bible, the Antichrist will be a charismatic celebrity, a 'big talker' and a 'smooth talker'."

It seems that conspiracists now have further 'proof' that the end of nigh.

But, on the other hand, I've not actually heard the sound myself, so it could just all just be nothing.
