What's that all about then?
A quick Google is telling me that 50-year-old Ikue Ōtan is the Japanese voice actress responsible for voicing the Pokémon, as well as characters in shows such as Detective Conan, Naruto and One Piece.
Don't ask me what any of those shows are like though, because everyone knows cartoons are for children and adult fans of anime needs to grow the fuck up, move out of their parent's basement and get a wash.

Pokémon has come back in a big way after the launch of Pokémon Go. It was reported earlier this week that the augmented reality mobile game developed by Niantic is seeing about 21 million daily active users. Technology news website Techcruch has reported that the game makes a $1.6million daily revenue.
But what are you saying after watching that then mate? Does it matter that Pikachu wasn't voiced by a lad? I suppose I always knew he didn't speak in a smooth baritone, so maybe we should have known all along?
Let us know whether Pikachu is still a legendary lad or just a lightning rat in the comments.
