Bruno The High-Maintenance Cat Has Finally Found His Forever Home

If you were wondering whether Bruno, the incredibly extra cat, ever found a home...wonder no more

Just a few days ago, we posted a story about a loveable but incredibly high-maintenance cat called Bruno, who desperately needed a forever home but was having trouble finding one because he was so high maintenance.

See, it wasn't just - for example - that he'd follow you everywhere you went when you walked about the house or that he'd only ever sleep on the bed right on your pillow. Bruno's neurotic necessities go much further than that.

According to the description that Wright Way Rescue Center wrote about him, Bruno - among other idiosyncrasies - will only eat if you pet him and then meow incessantly after being given food.

Not only that, but he gets mad if anyone pets his belly, but likes to stand up to expose his belly a lot, mainly when he's hungry. Oh, and he also only drinks water if it's in a completely different room to his food. He's super cute, though.

Although news of Bruno's diva-like demands had initially put people off adopting him, once his plight went viral people applied in their hundreds to be the ones to look after him.

And of all the applicants offering to bring the seven-year-old, 25 pound kitty to their home, it was a Chicago-based actress and singer called Lauren Paris who won the lottery.

But don't despair, even though you weren't the chosen one (unless you're Lauren, of course!) you'll be able to keep up with Bruno's new life - he now his own Instagram account.

How, you might be wondering, did Lauren beat all the other applicants to the post to be able to call this neediest, most extra cat here? Well, her application included a recommendation from her boss, a letter of intent, footage of her apartment, and an original song about his high-maintenance status.

All of which leads us to conclude that Bruno is going to be a very happy kitty indeed in his new home and with his new owner. And who knows - given a bit of bonding time together and a few more songs (or perhaps even a whole album) about him, Bruno might even let Lauren give him a belly rub.
