When we spend so much of our time working - five days a week, eight hours a day at least - it's important to spend that time with decent people. If you hate your co-workers, then you're going to hate your life because you'll spend most of your time with people you despise.
On the other side of that coin, if you work mostly alone, it's definitely important to have someone around you that you like so you can avoid going stir crazy.
Well, it seems 51-year-old delivery Nicky Morris has found the ideal companion: his seven-year-old French Mastiff, Roxy. What's more, Roxy has perfected a lean-out-of-the-window pose, resting on her elbow, that almost makes her look human. Sort of.
Also known as a Dogue de Bordeaux, Roxy likes to chill out in the front seat of the Mango Logistics Group delivery van while Nicky does his job - and she even has a page dedicated to her on the company website.
"Roxy, is not just a pet, she is a celebrity courier, who drives around London delivering parcels to people," said Nicky, who started bringing Roxy with him when she got too big to leave at home.
"She has been with us for seven years, since she was a puppy. She's a dream to work with and it makes driving with her fun because of the constant attention.
"You can find her around central London - mostly posing for pictures. Roxy has got so famous that she has own Twitter and Instagram following."
There's even an interview with her on her page of the website, although we suspect it might not actually have been her who gave those answers. That's just a hunch, though.
"She's easy to drive with," said Nicky. "She's relaxed, but a bit grumpy in the recent heat - but who isn't, and a stroke always calms her down. Luckily in London there are plenty of parks so walks are never a problem, but she does like to spend her time in the van - her office."
What's more, as cute as she is, she also doubles up as a security guard for when Nicky has to leave the van unattended. Double win.
