Royal Wedding 2018: Prince Harry To Meghan Markle After The Ceremony: "I'm Ready For A Drink Now!"

After the wedding and the procession were over, Harry seemed to turn to his new wife and told her: "I'm ready for a drink now!" Good LAD.

What's the best thing about going to weddings, beyond getting to see your mates cement their love for each other in a beautiful, heartfelt manner? The booze, of course!

Yes, getting on the sesh after the formal stuff is over is a great way to celebrate for both guests and the lucky couple. And while he might be royalty, Prince Harry is no different to the rest of us in that regard.

After the ceremony inside St George's Chapel, he and his new wife Meghan Markle completed their procession through Windsor, where they were greeted by an estimated 120,000 well-wishing revellers.

That's enough to make anybody thirsty, and as their carriage had completed its two-and-a-half mile stretch down the Long Walk back towards Windsor Castle, it seems Harry admitted as much.

As the carriage pulled into the grounds of Windsor Castle and away from the throngs of people, Harry - according to lip reader Tina Lannin - told his wife "I'm ready for a drink now." And, quite frankly, we don't blame him. It must be stressful enough saying your vows in front of your nearest and dearest, let alone the entire world.

Whether Harry had actually managed to get a swift pint in is another question. Because, as the carriage pulled into the grounds, he and Meghan were out of view of the public for the first time since midday. So, we have absolutely no idea what they did. Although we doubt that there's anywhere for him to get a pint on the grounds. Perhaps a can of Carling, though.

Harry wasn't the only one who seemed a little bit awestruck by the whole occasion, either. Meghan, too, seemed taken aback - unsurprisingly - by everything going on around her and her husband, lifting her hand to her chest and uttering the word 'Wow'.

The couple are now officially the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It's 175 years since there was a Duke of Sussex and the first time in history that there's a Duchess of Sussex. There were plenty of Union Jacks on display during the parade, but also a host of American flags, a reference to Meghan's nationality.
