Jake Paul Enforces Sex Ban With Girlfriend Julia Rose Before Tyron Woodley Fight

Jake Paul Enforces Sex Ban With Girlfriend Julia Rose Before Tyron Woodley Fight

Paul faces Woodley in a rematch in Florida this weekend

Jake Paul has admitted to putting himself on a sex ban ahead of his fight with Tyron Woodley.

Paul faces a rematch with Woodley in Florida this weekend, after Tommy Fury was forced to drop out due to a chest infection and a cracked rib.

Ahead of his fight, Paul has revealed he’s put the blocks on sex with his girlfriend Julia Rose, who he has been in an on-off relationship since 2020.

The 24-year-old admitted to ‘messing up’ a few times but says he really feels a difference when he abstains and his trainer agrees.

Speaking on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, Paul said: "It's different for each fighter.

"A lot of fighters are affected by it, including myself and I'm 100 percent sure [it's not all mental], I don't believe in placebo, I have to experience things for myself.

"I've only messed up on occasion once or twice because it's noticeably different, and I take more punishment in sparring if I do that.

"My coach BJ [Flores] will be like 'did you have sex last night?' And you can just tell without me saying anything."

Trainer Flores added: "He's not as good, he's not as quick or as fierce or aggressive.

"It's obvious to a guy who has been around boxing for 33 years so I see it very quickly and he always comes clean.

"Ancient warriors deprived themselves of certain things before they went to battle and it's important that Jake sacrifices and deprives himself of certain things before he goes into battle.

"If not having sex for a little while will make us half a percent better, then I'll take it."

Elsewhere in the interview, Paul revealed doctors had warned him he was experiencing symptoms of long-term brain damage due to fighting.

He said: "I got my brain scanned right before I started boxing and the doctor told me there's lack of blood flow from the concussions I had playing football to certain areas on my brain.

"One of them I believe is the frontal lobe which is partial for memory and so on. After my first year of boxing I went back and it was worse.

"[The doctors] advice is don't do that sport. That's all they can advise as a doctor, I think before it was affecting me at a rapid pace because I never took it easy.”
