Most people are familiar with the cooking device that is the slow cooker. It's probably most well known for cooking a joint of meat or a even a good old stew while you go about your daily business.

We already knew that we appreciated the slow cooker - after all, you can set your dinner away cooking in the morning, head to work and come home at the end of the day to your evening meal ready to pop on your plate.

However, it seems as though none of us had really unlocked the true potential of the device until we came across this Facebook post explaining how to make a full English breakfast.

Yep, that's right. A full English breakfast, in a slow cooker. MIND BLOWN.

Cooking up a good old brekkie might not be the most complicated meal in the world to cook (provided you've graduated a step up from making toast) but it can be pretty tricky to get the timing right, and often involves a lot of different pans which inevitably require washing up when you're done with them. Seeing a sink full of grease that needs your attention when you're full up of sausages and sporting a pretty nasty hangover almost ruins the whole idea of having a fry-up.

But this hack involves putting all the ingredients required for a full English inside the slow cooker (except the toast) and sitting tight until it's ready to devour.

According to Rose Bowler, who shared the genius hack on Facebook, it's important to make sure that the meat is leaning up against the edge to ensure it goes crispy around the edges - as it should be.

If you haven't got a slow cooker, there's always this:

In the the picture, whoever created the incredible cooking method has put chopped tomatoes in a cup as well as beans in a cup too, making sure everything gets heated nice and evenly without spilling into one big sloppy mess.

The only thing we can't see tucked up in there is any sign of eggs. However, just a 10-second Google leads you to several recipes that guide you in the art of doing scrambled eggs in the slow cooker, meaning that's just about everything ticked off.

You'll just have to get the toast on the go, before tackling the trickier task: finding any clean forks.

Incredible stuff.
