A gaping hole in the security of an anal fisting website has resulted in a hacker obtaining the personal information of over 100,000 of its users.
Rosebuttboard.com is a popular forum (that probably should have been called Plenty of Fist) for people who love nothing more than inserting large things into their anuses, or watching others do so. Although I can't be certain, I've never been on it. Honest.
The site describes itself as the "top one board for anal fisting, prolapse, huge insertion and rosebutt fans". I mean, it can't have much competition, can it?
The site reportedly runs vulnerable versions of Mysql and IP.Board. The data had been hashed using the easily cracked MD5 algorithm, so that may have been how the hacker extracted the passwords, usernames, email addresses and IP addresses.
A security researcher known as Troy Hunt has verified the data and will be uploading it to his site 'Have I Been Pwned?' so that potential victims can check whether their data has been extracted.
"This is a poignant reminder of how very personal information such as sexual proclivities may one day become public knowledge," Hunt told Motherboard.
Let this be a lesson to you all: be very anal when it comes to the smutty websites you sign up to. Or just use a fake name, for crying out loud.
Kind of like the Panama Papers for perverts, isn't it?
