Activision and Infinity Ward are once again pulling the lever* and activating Double XP in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call Of Duty: Warzone.
Starting July 17th at 6pm BST and ending on July 20th at 6pm BST, players will be able to log in and earn double the usual amount of experience on weapons and general progression. That should help keep you busy this weekend... assuming you're not already hard at work playing Ghost Of Tsushima, that is.

The Double XP weekend comes hot on the heels of Infinity Ward bringing the popular 50v50 Warzone Rumble back to the battle royale. A bunch of playlists comprising of fan-favourite modes have also been added into Modern Warfare's rotation, so there should be a little something to keep everyone pleased.
"It's time to party," Activision wrote in a blog post. "A host of fan-favorite Free-For-All modes combine in a raucous and fun-filled mosh pit. Test your precision in One in the Chamber, prove your versatility with a mix of weapons in Gun Game Reloaded, and embrace gritty, tactical play in All or Nothing. Join with a group of friends and battle to take the top spot in your party.
"In Warzone, survive (or never go to) the Gulag in Battle Royale Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads. Then this weekend, fight TDM-style in Warzone Rumble. Plunder Trios will also be available."

You can also get your hands on the "Hydra Slayer" bundle, which includes two "highly accurate weapons with excellent stability and clear sights down range. The Soul of the Beast assault rifle and the Spirit of the Beast SMG are Legendary blueprints kitted for success in medium to longer than average distances for their respective classes."
Finally, there's the 'Syd: Rogue Operative' bundle, which includes a watch, vehicle skin for the Cargo Truck, a calling card, emblem, and new skin for Syd.
It's been a relatively quiet week for Modern Warfare and Warzone in terms of new maps and major additions, but multiple reports suggest that Activision is gearing up to announce the 2020 Call Of Duty, and that the battle royale will play a key role in that announcement. Watch this space.
