PlayStation 5 Official Amazon Page Has Gone Live With New Details

It's coming!

The official Amazon landing page for the PlayStation 5 has gone live, giving us a new look at the console and the myriad of accessories that'll be available with it at launch.

Unfortunately we're still missing the ability to pre-order, as well as details on price and release date... but the page's timely appearance suggests that all-important information is mere days away. A number of alleged industry insiders had suggested that price and release date were to be announced yesterday (July 13th), but this didn't come to pass. Maybe they were just a few days off?

For now, head on over to Amazon to gawp at shiny new shots of the PS5 and its assorted gadgets. It sure is a beauty.

There's not a ton of new information on the console itself. The Digital Edition and Standard Editions are both present, as is the usual talk of a super fast SSD, haptic feedback, lightning-fast loading, and all that business. You've heard it all before.

There is, however, a better look at some of the console accessories. There's a DualSense charging station that allows you to charge two controllers at once, which looks pretty slick. There's also a Pulse 3D Wireless Headset with dual noise-cancelling microphones which I'd quite like to get my hands on.

A less exciting addition is a Media Remote for flicking between streaming services and stuff, which I can't imagine anyone is really all that bothered by. Finally, there's a HD Camera, which Amazon says you can use to add yourself to your gameplay videos and broadcasts. I guess PlayStation wants to make it easier to create, stream, and share than ever before.

Finally, there's a handy little reminder at the bottom of the page detailing all the games you'll be playing on PS5. All the heavy hitters are there, including Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, and Resident Evil Village. Amazon hasn't accidentally slipped any unannounced games in there though, so don't get too excited.

And that's pretty much it. I suppose the most exciting thing is that you can still register for notifications over on the official PS5 website, so that you'll be one of the first to know when pre-orders and price details finally do go live. I would confidently suggest that we're mere weeks - if not days - from that information at this point, so stay frosty.
