The long-rumoured Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign remaster is finally with us, kids.
While for many people March has felt like the longest month the universe has ever seen, at least it's going out on a good note for gamers - thanks to the surprise release of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign remaster.
Sure, it may not be a trip to the pub or a Sunday roast at your grandma's, but in these trying times, we'll certainly take it.
The game is available to download and play now on PS4, and can be pre-purchased for other platforms from today, ready to play on 30 April.
"Relive the exhilarating classic in stunning remastered quality," the trailer's YouTube description says.
"Play alongside Soap, Shepherd, Ghost and other familiar faces once again as you fight back against Vladimir Makarov, the Inner Circle, and other unforeseen foes.
"Download and play now on PS4, or pre-purchase on other platforms today to play April 30th and get instant access to the free UDT Classic Ghost Bundle in Modern Warfare."

The Modern Warfare 2 remaster has been rumoured for a while now, having been first kind-of-announced unofficially last year by way of a PEGI rating.
Then, earlier this month, Twitter user @Okami13 - who just happened to know Call of Duty: Warzone would release on 10 March - claimed the remaster would be released this year.
A pinned tweet on their timeline simply reading 'March 30th' may indicate their prediction was slightly out. In a tweet yesterday (30 March), they said they're 'praying campaign actually releases tomorrow' so they don't look silly.

Call of Duty news site CharlieIntel also shared a 'leaked' trailer for the remastered campaign, having supposedly got the tip-off from PlayStation Store Germany - which said the release could be coming on 31 March, and listed the game to purchase for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $30, requiring roughly 45GB of storage.
According to cod.tracker.gg, the game has been completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting, and more.
@Okami13 also speculated on Twitter: "To be clear.. it won't be a direct remaster of the multiplayer. Instead they're taking the maps and adding them to MW 2019 so as to not split the community again. Just heard this within the last week and I'm letting you guys know now."
