‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’ Season One Brings Back Three Old Maps
Infinity Ward has released their roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season One, and it's bursting at the seams with free content. What's more is that it's releasing soon, on December 3rd. It is indeed a Christmas miracle.
The announcement was made via the Call of Duty Twitter handle, going so far as to call it their "most ambitious season of content ever." You can check out the tweet here if you don't believe me, but the image below shows what they've got in store.
What I'm about to tell you is going to send the map fans out there wild, because Season One is chock full of 'em. It will include three new multiplayer maps; Crash, Vacant and Shipment. Yes, those are all from Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Yes, that is amazing.
Seems like Infinity Ward has taken to heart the comments and criticisms the multiplayer maps in the game at launch received, and have just decided to give fans what they wanted. Naturally, nobody is complaining, because those maps are top notch. Well, maybe apart from Vacant. That can get in the sea.

But that's not all dear reader, oh no. Season One will also be receiving a brand new Ground War map called Port, which the more astute among you will notice is set in and around a port. Rounding off the map-hype will be two new Gunfight maps called Cargo and Atrium, plus "and more". Presumably that means more maps, and not a map called And More.
On top of this, there's going to be three new multiplayer modes, Reinforce, Gunfight OSP and Infected. At present, we only know the names of these new modes, so it's mere speculation on my part when I guess that Infected has something to do with...infecting other players until there's only one player left to be crowned victor.
Two new weapons will be arriving in the form of RAM-7 - a bullpup style rifle - and the Holger-26. Finally, there's new Spec-Ops content in the form of Bomb Squad, Grounded, Just Reward, Pitch Black and more. There's that And More map again. Iconic.
To reiterate, all of this is coming for free for all players on December 3rd. That's quite honestly insane, and having the fan-favourite maps back is sure to bring a few old-school players back into the game.
Until then I'm going back to camping on Shoot House. Bye.
