'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Season Two Details Leak, Confirming Classic Map
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season Two finally goes live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, February 11th. But for those of you that just can't wait that long and want an early peek at what we're getting, it appears that the first details from the new season have leaked online. Fans will be pleased to know that the leak confirms the arrival of a long-rumoured map, as well as the return of a much-loved character.
Yes, it probably won't come as a huge surprise to anyone at this point, but Rust and Ghost are set to return to Call of Duty with the launch of Modern Warfare's next season of content. Apparently, the information was uploaded to the official Modern Warfare website early, before hastily being taken down. Thanks to Charlie Intel for reporting on the leak before it was removed.
Over on Reddit, a short clip of Season Two was saved and shared. Check that out below first for a quick taste of what to expect.
If you're new to Call Of Duty, Ghost - real name Simon Riley - was a hugely popular character who players were introduced to in 2009's Modern Warfare 2. Fans will no doubt remember his shocking (and heartbreaking) murder in that game's campaign. Of course, this new Modern Warfare is a complete reboot, so I guess Ghost is alive and kicking once again - this time as a playable Operator.

While Ghost was pretty much confirmed in an official tease from Activision last week, this is the first confirmation we've had for sure that Rust is returning. Like Ghost, the popular map made its debut in Modern Warfare 2, and will no doubt be a welcome addition to the latest instalment of the online shooter.
Modern Warfare's first season of content saw a number of fan-favourite maps return, including Crash and Shipment. We've known for a while that Rust would probably be coming back at some point, thanks a massive datamine that uncovered a load of classic maps when the game first released. Still, it's nice to know for sure that one of most memorable Call Of Duty maps is returning imminently.
Players can also look forward to two new base weapons: the GRAU 5.56 assault rifle and long-range Striker 45 SMG. Naturally, there'll be the usual raft of cosmetic items, weapon blueprints, and Operator skins, all of which can be earned by playing through the game and rising through the ranks of the new Battle Pass.
The Tier 100 skin, for example, seems to be a pretty sweet alternate look for Ghost... so that's something for die-hard fans to work towards. Only one day to go until we can dive into Season Two and party like it's 2009.
