Cyberpunk 2077 Will Launch in 2019, According To Its Turkish Publishers

Which ever year CD Projekt Red's next great adventure releases, Cyberpunk 2077 will certainly be one the game's of the year - if not the game of the year.

The sci-fi title has been shrouded in mystery ever since it was announced at E3 2013 - Projekt Red really like keeping things secret. Hell, it wasn't long ago when we finally saw some gameplay, the only problem being that it was first shown months before during a private screening at E3 2018.

So, it's no doubt someone, somewhere, knows the game's release date, but it will most likely be a while before Project Red officially tells us. However - we might already have found that someone.

A Turkish publisher for the upcoming game, Bilkom, said on a now deleted tweet that Cyberpunk 2077 will launch at some point next year.

Bilkom worked with Projekt Red to oversee the publication of the Witcher series in Turkey, and will be returning to help with the upcoming first-person shooter. Although, they're probably in the bad books right now.

No, it isn't concrete, and no, it's not an official announcement - but let's look at the facts. 1. They work on publishing the game. 2. If anyone's going to know, it's them. 3. They deleted their tweet (which we have a screenshot of, thanks VG247 Turkey).

A rough translation, courtesy of PCGamesN, says: "The makers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt's new game [is] Cyberpunk 2077. With assurance [/guarantee] in Turkey in the year 2019."

It might not be the most accurate reading, but you get the gist. Perhaps Projekt Red were planning to reveal the launch date in the near future, and Bilkom just jumped the gun a tad early?

We thought Cyberpunk 2077's launch would've already been confirmed by now, so this is the only explanation we can think of. Either that or someone forgot it was a secret, in which case my thoughts (and thanks) go out to whoever accidentally leaked it.

What do you think about this news? Are you hoping it's true? Did you expect it to be longer? What else could it mean? Let us know.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release for Xbox One, PS4, and PC sometime in 2019. Well, that's if you believe the rumours...
