BioWare's 'Dragon Age 4' Tweet Teases More News On The Horizon
Word on the street is that BioWare are gearing up to give us some news on the upcoming Dragon Age 4 real soon. And by word on the street, I mean me. And by me, I mean they tweeted about it. Such is the cycle of news.
Sunday 3rd of November marked the 10th anniversary of the release of the first Dragon Age, and its devs at BioWare took to the twittersphere to celebrate and give fans a tidbit of hope about the fourth installment in the franchise. Seemingly, we'll learn more on December 4th - which the astute among you will notice is less than a month away.
Today marks 10 years of Dragon Age! This year we're excited to join the community's party on December 4th and celebrate a decade together in the world we all love. See you on 12/4 for Dragon 4ge Day!

Calling it Dragon 4ge Day is giving my dyslexia a headache, but if that's not a hint that something big is happening, I don't know what is. Seems to be that BioWare are throwing a bit of a knees up for the community to celebrate the franchise and the upcoming news. Presumably there will be pie and punch. And if there's not, I'm probably not going to go, no matter how much I loved Dragon Age: Origins.
Origins was released way back in 2009, which makes me feel ancient. But it is one of only a handful of titles from that era that holds up today, thanks to its blisteringly well-told story and fleshed-out world. The delightful Dragon Age II followed in 2011, before Dragon Age: Inquisition rounded off the trilogy in 2014.
December marks one year since the first official trailer for Dragon Age 4 was shown off during Geoff Keighley's Hideo Kojima love fe... sorry, The Game Awards. So it's possible we'll see something more of the game at this year's event; but more likely that BioWare will do the bulk of announcements at the Dragon 4ge Day party.

Executive Producer of the Dragon Age series Mark Darrah stated in a blog post in 2018 that the game has been in production for quite some time. But publishers EA, who ultimately pull the strings, say that the game is still a full two years from release.
It'll come as no surprise to anybody (least of all BioWare, I imagine) that after the shockingly poor release and reception of Anthem, the company need a big win with DA4. This news, and the fact that there are apparently more Mass Effect games in the pipes, certainly suggest that there's a big couple of years ahead for the popular developer.
Honestly? I'm rooting for them 100%. Let's go Dragon 4ge Day!
