Drake And Scooter Braun Are Co-Owners Of Nadeshot's 100 Thieves Esports Company
Matt "Nadeshot" Haag has welcomed Drake and Scooter Braun to 100 Thieves, with both men now co-owners of his eSports company.
According to the 100 Thieves website, Matt's lifestyle, apparel, and eSports brand completed its Series A funding round - raking in over $25 million alongside last year's investments.
Drake, a Grammy award-winning artist, and Braun, founder of SB Projects, co-led the recent investment, and are now in charge of 100 Thieves alongside Matt and Dan Gilbert, chairman of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Matt said: "It's been exciting to watch eSports become a cultural phenomenon in 2018. I've spent my ten-year career in eSports growing the ecosystem and am proud to have Drake and Scooter join as my partners to help take 100 Thieves to new heights.
"Our top priority is to win world championships, but our ambitions go far beyond competitive gaming," the former Call of Duty world champion explained. "With Drake and Scooter's support, we're going to build a lasting brand on the back of the content and apparel that our fans have come to love, aggressively expand into more games, scale our apparel business, and build a world-class management team."
Sequoia Capital, WondrCo, Marc Benioff, Drew Houston, Green Bay Ventures, Tao Capital, and Willoughby Capital also jumped in on the recent funding round.

So, why would big names like these get involved with his company? Braun joined the team because Matt "has a clear vision for where esports is going and how to build an amazing brand within it." He reckons 100 Thieves is "one of the most authentic brands in the ever-evolving gaming space."
And as for Drake, he's been rocking 100 Thieves custom gaming stations throughout his current Scorpion tour - and we all know how much he loves Fortnite - so becoming a strategic adviser alongside Braun (who's on the board of directors, too) was a no-brainer.
According to the site, 100 Thieves is the fastest growing eSports channel on YouTube, and it's past four apparel drops sold out in 20 minutes. How long do you reckon it will take for the upcoming Drake/OvO apparel collaboration to sell out - 10 minutes, tops?
