Guys, just when you thought Call of Duty couldn't get any more epic, someone's gone and thrown a load of GOATS into the mix - and, frankly, the results are stupendous.

That's right, gaming fans, Goat of Duty sees a collision between two of the most unlikely worlds, to form something you never knew you needed.

The premise of the game is simple: you become an armed goat fighting other goats, for the ultimate 'old-school, no-nonsense shooter experience'.

The developer writes on the game's Steam page: "Goat of Duty is a fast-paced multiplayershooter where goats armed to the horns bleat face to face in a relentless deathmatch.

"Ram and troll your friends, don the craziest goatstumes, and put your skills to the test in the quirkiest FPS ever. Are you ready to become the GOAT of goats?"

The game is played in first person, but as well as being able to see your gun, you can also see the head of your goat - making it seem like you're actually riding the goat.

We're promised four multiplayer modes for two to 10 goats - classic Free-For-All, Gun Deathmatch, Herd Wards (or team deathmatch for any stupid hoomans out there) and a new mode in the Fus Ro Arena.

There's also going to be a variety of maps with different play styles, with landscapes including a futuristic farm, mountains in distant planets, a 'Desert of the Lambs', a space station, a medieval village, the 'Horror Well' and more.

The Steam page continues: "Goat of Duty is a fast-paced and intense multiplayer first-person shooter, and that´s pretty much all you need to know.

"No nonsense: no need to master a convoluted metagame, learn different characters, combine skills, strategic team play... just devilish combat arenas, powerful weapons, and fast-paced action.

"Well, and lots of silly humour, crazy goatstumes (skins), and goat mechanics for you to troll your friends to your heart's content!"

Goat of Duty isn't out yet, but according to its page on Steam, it will be released soon.

And the hype is already building - after GAMINGbible posted the trailer for the game on Facebook, one person wrote: "Finally we find out there is a GOD!"
