'GTA Online' Diamond Casino Heist Drops Next Week, Is The Biggest One Yet
The Diamond Casino & Resort in GTA Online officially opened for business in July last year. Now it's time to get a crew together and rob the place blind, just like we always wanted to. Following yesterday's intriguing teaser, Rockstar has confirmed that the GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist update goes live next Thursday, December 12th.
The developer promises that the Casino Heist will be the game's most complex and engaging one yet, with "with new scenarios unfolding each time" to make for a "highly repayable" experience. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to "breach the vault at The Diamond, grab the goods, and exact revenge on the Duggan family".

"The Diamond Casino Heist is an all-new approach to Heist architecture and execution: one huge gameplay-packed operation as you work with the Cheng family to infiltrate the most secure building in all of Los Santos," Rockstar wrote.
"Featuring a diverse range of opportunities for set-up and prep missions that shape your plan of attack, multiple paths of approach, constantly changing security measures and a dizzying array of choices once inside. Expect outcomes for you and your crew to change on the fly."
The update will also come with a number of exciting new features, including the opportunity to grab yourself a dedicated property to plan your heist and assemble the crew. Rockstar explained that heist crew leaders can set up " an unexpected new commercial venture as a front," to stage and rehearse your criminal activities.
"While the business runs above, down below you can practice hacking keypads or cracking vault doors, store equipment and getaway vehicles, and owners of existing businesses can add a Master Control Terminal to handle all current operations."

For years, the casino in GTA Online was little more than a frustrating question mark for players. The building sat there, inaccessible, but with a tantalising sign hung outside promising that it would be "opening soon". It wasn't until earlier this year that it finally threw the doors open, though.
Players have been having plenty of fun enjoying the casino's features, including a slew of minigames, new vehicles, and swanky penthouse suites. Let's be honest though, this is GTA Online. All we really ever wanted to do was steal from the damn place, and now we can.
The upcoming Heist is actually the first one we've had in GTA Online in quite some time, so fans are itching to get their sticky fingers into some criminal fun. The last one, 2017's Doomsday Heist, was a high-tech romp that included military conspiracies, jetpacks, and plenty of over-the-top action. It was great fun, but here's hoping the Casino job offers a slightly more grounded experience.
All that's left to do now is assemble your team and get planning ahead of the update's launch next week. Do you know the best people for the job?
