Henry Cavill, AKA Superman, Wants To Play Geralt In Netflix's The Witcher Series
Cavill has never been one to shy away from his "love" of video games. He even missed the most important phone call of his life (when Zach Snyder rang to tell him he'd got the job as Superman) due to playing World of Warcraft.
He's massively into other fantasy RPG's, too, such as Skyrim and of course The Witcher 3, which he "just replayed all the way through."
From this, IGN asked whether he would like to play Geralt in Netflix's forthcoming series, and he said: "Absolutely. Yeah, that would be an amazing role."
We reckon it would be pretty cool to have someone play the iconic Witcher who thoroughly knows the character, and his knowledge of the fantasy epic doesn't stop at the games.
As we know, Netflix's show will base themselves around books and notes from Andrzej Sapkowski's series of Witcher novels, which Cavill describes as "amazing."
He continues: "The books are really, really good... The books I started reading, and they are well worth a read."
The shows producers are currently searching for filming locations and everything seems to be running smoothly, so their expected release date of 2020 could be on the cards.
Do you think Superman would be good for this role, or do you have someone else in mind? Mads Mikkelsen is a fan favourite for the job, and there's even a cool fan-made trailer you can watch of him playing Geralt. Let us know what you think.
