How Much Fortnite Players Spend On Average

Student loan platform LendEDU created a survey to discover how much Fortnite players spend on average.

It's no secret that Epic Games have been raking in the cash from their free-to-play title, with March alone earning them $200 million.

According to the survey, 688 people out of 1000 said they purchased V-Bucks, Fortnite's in-game currency, with the average amount being $84.67.

That's a whopping $52,000 between them!

Interestingly, Fortnite was the first game which swayed 36.78% into buying virtual items, and a massive 20% of spenders didn't know these items provided no in-game advantage.

More than one in three players (35.12%) admitted to skipping school to play Fortnite, with 14.58% of those saying they missed "a lot" of school.

Also, over a quarter of players bought premium Twitch content for Fortnite and surprisingly the PS4 proved the most popular platform with 42% choosing the console.

We know this is only a small sample from the millions of Fortnite players worldwide, but it still shows how willing people are to spend money on cosmetic items. You should check out the full survey details on LendEDU's site.

Have you spent this much? I know people who've spent more than double this amount without shame, whereas I've only bought one skin and obviously get the battle pass every season. Let us know what you've purchased!
