'Jedi: Fallen Order' To Finally Be Revealed At April Star Wars Celebration

'Jedi: Fallen Order' To Finally Be Revealed At April Star Wars Celebration

EA has announced that Respawn Entertainment's forthcoming game set in the Star Wars universe, Jedi: Fallen Order, will be present at the Star Wars Celebration held in Chicago on 11-15 April.

This will represent the first full reveal of the game, which is still supposed to be launching during the "Holiday" period, later this year. The panel for Jedi: Fallen Order is slated for 13 April. (It's not a Friday this year, so hopefully that's an ominous omen dodged.)

The game will be set between the movies Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with players in the role of a young Padawan who survived the destruction of the Jedi Order.

And beyond that, right now, we know next to nothing about Fallen Order. There's been nothing shown, with the game's announcement amounting to no more than an audience chit-chat at E3 2019.

But Respawn, presumably thriving in the wake of Apex Legends, certainly has the talent to deliver something really special. And it would sure be good for EA to finally make something really worthwhile out of their deal with Disney, to make Star Wars games. Because, Battlefront, really?

As well as Respawn's title, the Celebration promises to feature "a galaxy of games" with a number of titles playable to attendees, including Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and Star Wars Pinball (pictured above).
