Kratos Stars In New God Of War-Inspired Kid's Book 'B Is For Boy'
If you've ever played through any of the God Of War games and thought to yourself; 'this would be a great starting point for a children's storybook', we've got good news for you. Sony Interactive Entertainment's Santa Monica Studio 2018 God Of War is being turned into a book for nippers... kind of.
The brilliantly named God Of War: B Is For Boy frames Kratos and Atreus' critically acclaimed adventure as a picture-book. One in which the Ghost Of Sparta shares his knowledge of the Nine Realms with his son. In alphabetical form, no less. The catch is that parental discretion will very much be advised, as it's not strictly for kids.
Come along as Kratos teaches his son Atreus the ABC's of the nine realms with God of War: B is For Boy. This new humorous take on @PlayStation's God of War is written by @ASMRobinson and features original artwork by @RominaTempest. "In this humorous take on Sony Interactive Entertainment's God of War franchise, Kratos teaches his son Atreus the ABC's of the nine realms, including lessons learned from Kratos's past mistakes. Kratos fills the book's pages with the essential vocabulary from the world of the game, imparting his questionable (at times) wisdom in an irreverent and entertaining style," the storybook's official description reads.
Author Andrea Robinson and illustrator Romina Tempest confirmed to Polygon that the book won't be anywhere near as graphic as the 2018 game was. But that doesn't mean that reading it your seven-year-old before bed is automatically the best plan. Not unless you have a very mature seven-year-old, anyway.

"You may have to cover your kid's eyes in one or two places to guarantee a completely kid-friendly experience," Tempest warned. With that said, I think there are a few things kids need to hear at a young age. Things that perhaps only Kratos is equipped to tell them.
Hopefully B Is For Boy takes off when it launches September 1st. That way Kratos can spin off into all manner of children's books that detail delicate subject matter.
How about Kratos Explains World War II? Or Kratos On The "Birds And The Bees"? My top pick would be Kratos Reveals Why Mummy And Daddy Have Been Sleeping In Different Bedrooms For The Last Two Months. It's a rich well, and I look forward to seeing Sony bathe in its cool waters.
