Looks Like EA Are Officially Hiring For Their New Skate Game

Electronic Arts is advertising for new staff at its Vancouver studio to bring the latest iteration of its Skate franchise, Skate 4, to life.

The company recently announced that a brand new Skate game is in development, formally announcing the highly anticipated sequel at EA's recent EA Play event. However, we've yet to get a look at the game in action, as it's in "really, really early" development and these jobs adverts suggest that the developer is still populating the Skate 4 team.

'Skate 4', Or At Least A New Skate Game, Finally Confirmed By EA

"At EA, we exist to Inspire the World to Play," the studio said in an advertisement seeking to recruit Head of Product Management - Skate (thanks, Gamespot). "We create amazing experiences for our players everywhere and we consider our players' experiences first in everything we do. Nowhere is this more evident than with our Skate franchise where we're bringing a contemporary Skate experience to our new and future fans."

The studio is also seeking a new Tools and Pipeline Software Engineer with five or more years experience. "We started something special back in 2007, it's time to think big and see where we can take it," that job listing said. "We're looking for people that want to join the family and harness the boundless potential of skating, gaming, and community to create something that respects Skate's legacy while pushing us into a fun-filled future. Simply put, if you're interested in building an amazing place to skate... and have fun... let us know."

As yet there's no confirmed release window for Skate 4 nor confirmation on what systems it will be coming to, but we'll keep you posted.
