New 'Cyberpunk 2077' Comic Looks Cool, Will Release Before Game

While Cyberpunk 2077 itself might have had its release pushed back until November, its accompanying comic book series will release as planned on 9 September, 2020.

The first issue, Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team, has been created by Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Uncanny X-Men) and Christopher Mooneyham (Predator, Nightwing) and introduces "an all-original series based on CD Projekt Red's brand-new game Cyberpunk 2077".

The 32-page comic will be published by Dark Horse and set you back $4 (there's no UK price equivalent just yet). Here's a peek at the cover:

"Nadia, an assistant EMT for a privately-owned business known as Trauma Team International, is the sole survivor of a failed rescue mission turned shootout," explains Dark Horse's description of the comic (thanks, Gamespot).

"After she agrees to continue work for an upcoming extraction mission, Nadia discovers that her new extraction subject is Apex - the man who's responsible for Nadia's former team members' deaths. A hundred floors high in a skyscraper filled with members of Apex's rival gang, Nadia and her team must complete the extraction."

'Cyberpunk 2077' Has Five Kinds Of Pubic Hair, So That's Good

JICYMI, there are "three kinds of nipples, two penis types (with adjustable size), one vagina option (kind of a shame), and no less than five types of pubic hair for you to top off your finished product" when it comes to character creation in the upcoming RPG.

"Throughout my conversations with characters, there are teases of different ways missions can play out. They may not radically change how the story plays out overall, but it lets me express my character," we said in the GAMINGbible Cyberpunk 2077 preview.

"That's the part of Cyberpunk 2077 that excites me: choice, and seeing those choices reflected in the world. What I'm left cold on from my preview is the game that the story pulls you through. The devotion to immersion makes for a seamless narrative experience, but the environments are very difficult to read. I really want to play the game as a ghost who hacks and sneaks their way through encounters, but it was extremely hard to recognise the bits in the environment that would make that possible. And, if I am going to have to resort to combat, I really hope it's more impactful when played on my own computer in November, than it was playing on a remote desktop this week."
