New Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailer Dropped At The Tokyo Game Show

Square Enix has released a new Big Hero 6 teaser for the upcoming cartoon mash-up Kingdom Hearts III, as well as the game's box art.

Fans will be quick to spot characters from Disney's Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Tangled, too, who will come alongside the series' regular heroes.

Because this clip dropped at TGS (Tokyo Game Show), all dialogue is in Japanese. You can activate subtitles, however, but Square Enix will no doubt release an English version pretty soon.

It's kind of weird hearing Jack Sparrow and Mickey Mouse speak in another language, yet keep their iconic voices and mannerisms - but never mind that, how good do they all look?

KH3 looks like it's been pulled straight from a classic Disney film, beautifully detailed and full of imagination. The new, gothic-styled box art looks just as good, too.

Designed by series director Tetsuya Nomura, a number of fan favourite characters - including an appearance from Darkling (from the mobile game Kingdom Hearts X) - are huddled together in front of a stunning skyline.

It was shared via a tweet from the official Kingdom Hearts account, which read: "As we draw closer to the launch of #KingdomHearts III we'd like to show you all the cover art for the game!"

Fans have been waiting for a direct sequel ever since the arrival of Kingdom Hearts II - back in 2005. 13 years is a long, long time to wait, but judging by the pre-launch material we've seen, it looks like the wait could pay off - Enix have even included a photo mode, obviously.
