Popular Streamer Dr Disrespect Has Been Permabanned From Twitch
Streaming platform Twitch has permanently banned Dr Disrespect from using its service.
Dr Disrespect - whose real name is Guy Beahm - had an exclusivity contract with the company, and before his ban, had amassed over four million followers.
Twitch has even gone so far as to contact paid subscribers to Dr Disrespect's channel for refunds, and his emotes are also seemingly no longer available for use. According to some sources, the ban is not connected to copyright/DMCA issues.

As yet, Beahm has not formally commented on the ban and the streamer has not posted on his social media accounts for two days.
In a brief statement to Polygon, Twitch said: "As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community."
This isn't the first time Dr Disrespect has been banned from the streaming platform, of course. Twitch banned Dr Disrespect's channel this time last year after he livestreamed from numerous public bathrooms at E3 in LA. Following the Twitch ban the ESA, the industry body that organises E3, also revoked his pass for the convention. As reporters pointed out at the time, filming people in a public bathroom was likely a violation of California's Invasion of Privacy law.
