SEGA Creates Survery To See If Players Want More Yakuza Games
Are you a Yakuza fan? Yes? Well, SEGA have released a survey to discover whether players want more from the series, so you should probably get it filled out.
This comes after the recent launch of Yakuza Kiwami 2, the remake of the classic PS2 hit Yakuza 2. There were too many twos in that sentence, sorry.
Anyway, the survey asks you all the generic stuff you expect to find on these things, but there are four questions which stand out from the rest. As GameStop reported, these specific questions seem to reference projects which we are currently unaware of.
First up, SEGA ask: "How interested are you in remasters/remakes of existing Yakuza games?" Now, as said above, Yakuza 2 has already has a redo. This could only suggest that the company plan to roll out further remasters from the series, as long as it's what the fans want.
"How interested are you in new games set in the world of Yakuza?" is the next question. This could refer to Ryu Ga Gotoku Online (Yakuza Online) and Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku (Yakuza 7), which are still in development but aren't set for a Western release.

Also, the guys behind the Yakuza series are currently working on an unannounced SEGA project, so the question "how interested are you in purchasing games created by the Yakuza team in other worlds, like the upcoming Fist of the North Star game?" could be associated with that - and your answer is probably 'very interested.'
And finally, "how interested are you in various spin-off titles that never received Western release?" is probably the question fans were dying to be asked. Could SEGA be planning to localise titles such as Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan and Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin? You'd better hope so.
So, what do you think about this news? Have you been waiting for something like this? Have you filled out the survey yourself? If not and you want to, click here to be taken to the right place.
